North and South is the musical story of two dreamers, a girl from the north and a boy from the south, who travel to Nashville, Tennessee in pursuit of careers as singer-songwriters, not realizing that their greatest success would be finding each other.

This two-person show is the true story of hit songwriters Monty Powell and Anna Wilson and is driven by their personal stories that are the inspiration behind the creation of their original songs that have been recorded by superstars and played all over the world. Performed in an intimate acoustic format, these songs and stories carry the compelling narrative of the play.

We learn that Monty arrives in Nashville a decade before Anna, making his journey north from his home on a civil war battlefield in Georgia. Anna shows up in Nashville, and in his life, by traveling south from her hometown near the famous revolutionary war campground of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Against all odds they find success as songwriters, as well as healing and understanding of each other’s divergent backgrounds. More importantly, they discover that for them, and for everyone, the pursuit of dreams and true love are intertwined, and like a song endure forever.
